Appeal for information on a dead body found in Lantau (with photos)

     Police today (May 11) appealed to the public for information on a dead body found in Lantau on April 14.

     At about 5.20pm on that day, Police received a report that a male body was found floating at sea off Lo Kei Wan.

     Standing about 1.8 metres tall, the deceased was of medium build with yellow complexion. He was believed to be a Chinese male aged between 20 and 60. When the man was found, he was wearing a grey black long-sleeved round-neck T-shirt with a light blue round-neck T-shirt inside and a pair of blue water-proof trousers with a pair of black trousers inside. The body was seriously decomposed with no identity document found.

     Initial investigations revealed that there was no suspicious circumstance surrounding his death.

     Police urged anyone who knows the deceased or has any information about his next-of-kin to contact officers of Administration Support Sub-unit of Cheung Chau Division on 2986 0231 or 2986 0211.
