The Labour Department (LD) has launched the "Work Safety Alert" mobile application (app) for both the iOS and Android platforms. Members of the public can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play for free.
The app offers a convenient way for the public to connect with the LD's "Work Safety Alert", which is issued to alert interested parties, including employers, contractors and workers, to recent serious and fatal work injuries and the general safety precautionary measures that need to be taken to prevent recurrence.
The Alert can also be accessed through the LD's website (www.labour.gov.hk/eng/news/work_safety_alert_2012.htm).
