Police today (April 28) laid a holding charge against a 31-year-old South Asian man with one count of murder and one count of possession of dangerous drugs. He will appear before Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts on April 30.
Police arrested the 31-year-old man in Tai Po at about 8pm on April 26 in suspected connection with a murder and robbery case in which a 38-year-old man died in Tin Shui Wai on April 21. A small quantity of suspected "Ice" was also seized on the arrested man.
Police have earlier arrested six men and one woman in suspected connection with the case. Two of the arrested men, aged 30 and 33, were jointly holding charged with one count of murder while the other arrestees, aged between 25 and 47, were released on bail and are required to report back to Police in early May.
Investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of New Territories North are under way.
