Police are anxious to locate the next of kin of a baby girl abandoned in Tin Shui Wai today (April 26).
About 6.25am, Police received a report that a girl was found abandoned on the ground at a pavilion inside a park on No. 6 Tin Shui Road.
The girl carried no identity document and is about eight to nine months old. Standing about 0.75 metres tall, she is about eight kilograms in weight. The girl was wearing a blue shirt and a pink coat, wrapped by a raincoat with a towel when found.
She had no apparent injury and was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital for examinations.
Investigations by District Crime Squad of Yuen Long are underway.
Police urged relatives of the girl or anyone who has information to offer to contact the investigating officers or duty officers of Tin Shui Wai Police Station on 3661 4810.
