Transport Department introduces Vehicle Licence Renewal reminder
********************************************************

The Transport Department (TD) today (April 26) introduced an e-service, "Reminder for Vehicle Licence Renewal", to remind the public of the expiry date of their vehicle licence and also when their vehicle licence is due for renewal through the Internet.

"To make use of the new e-service, the public simply need to have an account at the MyGovHK portal. They will receive a reminder message from the MyGovHK portal for the renewal of their vehicle licence four months before its expiry. Subsequent reminders will be sent to them two weeks before the expiry date and on the expiry day by the MyGovHK portal if they still haven't renewed their vehicle licence," a spokesman for TD said.

Starting today, MyGovHK account holders can log in to use the service. Those who do not have a MyGovHK account can register for an account on the GovHK website (www.gov.hk).

For details, please visit the GovHK website at www.gov.hk/vlreminder or call the 1823 Call Centre.
