To tie in with the leasing of Domain's Small Retail Zone, the Housing Authority (HA) will hold four Leasing Open Days. Business operators and individuals who are interested in the HA's up-and-coming regional shopping centre, which is located next to the MTR Yau Tong Station, are welcome to join.
Details of the Leasing Open Days are as follows:
Date: April 27 (Friday);
April 28 (Saturday);
May 6 (Sunday); and
May 7 (Monday)
Time: noon to 7pm
Venue: Domain Show Suite, Yau Lai Shopping Centre, Yau Tong, Kowloon
In addition to representatives from the sole private property estate agent appointed by the HA, who will answer leasing enquiries on-site, young entrepreneurs will also be present to share their business start-up experiences. They include Mr Patrick Mak and Mr Hugo Wu, founders of a self-designed T-shirt brand, who will host a DIY workshop; Ms Eva To, a young entrepreneur with a DIY crystal gemming products business, who will show her latest work and demonstrate gemming skills; and Ms Prudence Mak, founder and the Creative Director of another local creative brand, who will share her journey to success. An experienced accountant, Mr Eric Chan, will offer a talk on the financial challenges that young people face in setting up businesses.

The eight-storey Domain, scheduled for opening by the end of this year, has a total gross floor area of about 45,000 square metres. Located on Domain's second floor, the 700-square-metre Small Retail Zone comprises 23 open and independent shop units with internal floor areas ranging from 10 to 60 square metres. The Small Retail Zone is ideal for small creative entrepreneurs with a good sense for trends to start their businesses.
The HA will accept submissions of expressions of interest for leasing Domain's Small Retail Zone from April 25 (Wednesday) to May 18 (Friday). Leasing details and application forms will be available from April 25 on the Domain website: www.housingauthoirty.gov.hk/domain.
