Speed limit along Tuen Mun Road (Tsuen Wan and Ting Kau section) to be temporarily reduced from April 29

     The speed limit will be temporarily reduced along the section of Tuen Mun Road between Tsuen Wan and Ting Kau from April 29, 2012 (Sunday) to December 18, 2014, to facilitate on-going reconstruction works on Tuen Mun Road.

     Effective from 12.01am on April 29, the speed limit along both directions of the section of Tuen Mun Road between Tsuen Wan and Ting Kau will be reduced from 70 kilometres per hour to 50km/h. Traffic signs will be erected on Tuen Mun Road to remind motorists of the temporary arrangement.

     The speed limit is being reduced in relation to on-going reconstruction works along the section of Tuen Mun Road between Tsuen Wan and Sam Shing Hui to enhance the safety of road users and workers.

     Apart from the above route, motorists travelling along Tuen Mun Road eastbound for Tsuen Wan may take the alternative route of Castle Peak Road via Sham Tseng Interchange (except from 7am to 9am on weekdays), or travel via Ting Kau Bridge to the urban area. Motorists travelling along Tsuen Wan Road to Tuen Mun Road westbound for Tuen Mun may drive via Hoi Hing Road Roundabout, Hoi Hing Road, Hoi On Road and Castle Peak Road as the alternative route.  Motorists travelling along Castle Peak Road (Tsuen Wan Section) may travel via Tai Chung Road, Hoi Hing Road Roundabout, Hoi Hing Road, Hoi On Road and Castle Peak Road for Tuen Mun.
