Temporary closure of some LCSD leisure facilities

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (April 18) that due to maintenance or improvement works, the following leisure facilities will be temporarily closed:

     Owing to improvement works, the badminton court No. 1 and the booking office at To Kwa Wan Sports Centre in Kowloon City District will be temporarily closed from May 2 to 9, while the badminton court No. 2 will be temporarily closed from May 10 to 16. Other facilities in the sports centre will remain open. During the periods, the public may use similar facilities at Kowloon City Sports Centre, Fat Kwong Street Sports Centre and Hung Hom Municipal Services Building Sports Centre in the same district.

     Due to refurbishment and replacement of its air-conditioning system, the arena at Ngau Tau Kok Road Sports Centre in Kwun Tong District will continue to be temporarily closed until May 6. Other facilities in the sports centre will remain open. During the period, the public may use similar facilities at the nearby Chun Wah Road Sports Centre.

     The turf pitch at Siu Lun Sports Ground in Tuen Mun District will be temporarily closed for turf maintenance from May 14 to June 30. The running track will remain open. During this period, the public may use the turf pitch at the nearby Tuen Mun Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground.

     The turf pitch at Tin Shui Wai Sports Ground in Yuen Long District will be temporarily closed for turf maintenance from May 23 to July 3. The running track will remain open. During this period, the public may use the turf pitch at the nearby Yuen Long Stadium.
