Special traffic arrangements for Tin Hau Festival

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Kwun Tong, Tseung Kwan O, Yuen Long and Tuen Mun to facilitate the celebration of Tin Hau Festival on April 13.
     
Kwun Tong
---------
Road closure and road diversions from 8am to 5pm on April 13:
(1) A section of eastbound Cha Kwo Ling Road between Wing Fook Street and Yau Tong Road will be closed;
(2) A section of westbound Cha Kwo Ling Road between Wing Fook Street and Yau Tong Road will be converted to eastbound;
(3) Vehicles coming from Yau Tong areas along westbound Cha Kwo Ling Road will be diverted to northbound Yau Tong Road towards Lei Yue Mun Road.

Tseung Kwan O
--------------
     The following traffic arrangements will be implemented from 7am tomorrow (April 12) to 5pm the following day:

(A) Road closure
     A section of Tai Au Mun Road between Clear Water Bay Second Beach Carpark and Po Toi O Chuen Road will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic, except vehicles with permits.

(B) Suspension of parking spaces
     A total of 49 parking spaces at the Clear Water Bay Second Beach Carpark, four metered parking spaces at Tai Au Mun Road near Po Toi O Chuen Road, and 10 parking spaces near Clear Water Bay Golf and Country Club entrance will be suspended.

Yuen Long
--------

(A) Road closure
     The following sections of roads will be temporarily closed to all vehicles from the time specified on April 13:

From 8am onwards:
(1) A section of Fung Cheung Road between Kin Lok Street and Fung Kam Street;
(2) A section of Yau San Street between Kin Lok Street and Hop Yick Road;
(3) Westbound Kin Lok Street;
(4) Kin Yip Street;
(5) Hop Yick Road; and
(6) Kin Tak Street.

From 9am onwards:
(1) A section of Tai Tong Road between Fau Tsoi Street and Ma Tong Road;
(2) Kau Yuk Road;
(3) A section of Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road between Ma Tin Road and Castle Peak Road (Yuen Long);
(4) A section of Ma Tin Road between Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road and Ma Tong Road; and
(5) A section of Fung Nin Road between Fung Lok Lane and Kau Yuk Road.

From 10am onwards:
(1) A section of Ma Tong Road between Sai Yu Street and Ma Tin Road; and
(2) A section of Tai Shu Ha Road East between Ma Tong Road and Tai Shu Ha Tin Hau Temple.

     The following sections of roads will be intermittently closed to all vehicles from 7.45am onwards:
(1) A section of Po Yip Street between Hong Yip Street and Yuen Long On Lok Road;
(2) A section of Yuen Long On Lok Road between Po Yip Street and Wang Chau Road;
(3) Wang Chau Road;
(4) A section of Yuen Long On Ning Road between Wang Chau Road and Ma Miu Road; and
(5) Ma Miu Road.

(B) Traffic diversion

     Traffic along Tai Shu Ha Road East between Ma Tong Road and Tai Shu Ha Tin Hau Temple will be converted from two-way to one-way southbound between 6pm tomorrow (April 12) and 10.30am the following day.

     Traffic along Kin Yip Street will be converted from one-way southbound to one-way northbound from April 13 8.30am onwards.

(C) Suspension and relocation of Green Minibus (GMB) Terminus
(1) Terminus of GMB route nos. 39, 601, 602, 603, 604 and 606S will be relocated to Fung Yau Street North from 4pm tomorrow (April 12); and
(2) Terminus of route no.609 on Yuen Long On Hong Road will be suspended from 10am on April 13.

(D) Suspension of Public Light Bus (PLB) Stand

     The PLB stand at Hung Min Court will be suspended from 9am on April 13.

(E) Suspension of Taxi Stand

     The taxi stand at Kin Tak Street will be suspended from 8.30am on April 13.

(F) Suspension of Parking Spaces
     The following parking spaces will be suspended during the periods specified:

From 4pm tomorrow (April 12):
(1) Goods vehicles parking spaces inside the car park off Fung Yau Street North.

From 8am on April 13:
(1) The car park off Yuen Long Tai Yuk Road outside Yuen Long Stadium;
(2) Fung Cheung Road;
(3) Ma Tin Road;
(4) Town Park Road North;
(5) Wang Fat Path;
(6) Kin Tak Street;
(7) Yan Lok Square; and
(8) Hung Min Court.

Tuen Mun
--------
     The following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented in Tuen Mun during the following specified periods on April 13:

(A) Road closure (except for vehicles permitted by Police on site)

From 8am to 6pm:
(1) A section of Tin Hau Road between Pui To Road and its southern junction with Yip Wong Road;
(2) A section of westbound Hung Cheung Road between its junction with Tin Hau Road and its southern junction with San Ping Circuit;
(3) A section of southbound Hung Cheung Road between its northern and southern junctions with San Ping Circuit;
(4) A section of Hing Wong Street between its junction with Hung Cheung Road and a point about 30 metres north of the same junction;
(5) A section of San On Street between its junction with Hung Cheung Road and a point about 30 metres north of the same junction; and
(6) Cycle track along the western riverside of Tuen Mun River Channel between Pui To Road and Yau Oi Bridge.

From 10am to 2.30pm:
(1) A section of southbound Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road between Pui To Road and Castle Peak Road (San Hui) will be closed intermittently;
(2) A section of westbound Pui To Road between Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road and Tin Hau Road will be closed intermittently;
(3) A section of southbound Castle Peak Road (San Hui) between San Sau Street and Sau Hui Path will be closed intermittently;
(4) A section of westbound Yan Ching Street between Tak Ching Court and Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road will be closed intermittently;
(5) The nearside lane of San Tsing Street will be closed intermittently;
(6) Eastbound Pui To Road cannot turn to northbound Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road;
(7) Southbound Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road cannot turn to eastbound Yan Ching Street;
(8) Southbound Tseng Choi Street cannot turn to northbound Castle Peak Road (San Hui); and
(9) Westbound San Sau Street cannot turn to northbound Castle Peak Road (San Hui).

     Motorists and cyclists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and observe the instructions given by police officers on site. All vehicles found parked illegally within the precinct of the special traffic arrangements will be towed away without prior warning.
