Police today (April 11) reclassified a wounding case in Kwai Chung yesterday (April 10) as murder.
At about 1.20pm yesterday, Police received a report that a 68-year-old man collapsed after being assaulted by another man outside Block 5 of Kwai Shing West Estate.
The 68-year-old man was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital for medical treatment and was subsequently certified dead at 12.04am today. A post-mortem examination will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of his death.
A man in his sixties was being wanted in connection with the case.
Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Kwai Tsing are under way.
