EDB's response to media enquiries

In response to media enquiries, a spokesman for the Education Bureau today (April 5) said that the Secretary for Education, Mr Michael Suen, has received a hernia repair surgery on April 3. The operation was conducted successfully and Mr Suen was discharged in good condition.
Mr Suen is on vacation leave from April 1 to 14. He will resume work on April 16 (Monday). During Mr Suen's absence, the Under Secretary for Education, Mr Kenneth Chen, will be acting Secretary.
