The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (April 5) that since the waters off Lo So Shing Beach in Islands District and Deep Water Bay Beach, Repulse Bay Beach, South Bay Beach and Middle Bay Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island, are now suitable for swimming, the red flags have been lowered.
The red flags were earlier hoisted at the above beaches and at Shek O Beach after red tides were found.
Due to big waves, the red flag at Shek O Beach remains hoisted. Beach-goers are advised not to swim at the beach.
