Pets at Home, the UK's leading specialist retailer of pet-related products, opened its Asian regional sourcing office in Hong Kong today (April 2). As part of Pets at Home's three-year global sourcing plan, the office will serve as a base for expanding its existing Asian vendor partnerships, while driving improved product quality and reliability of shipments.
The Head of Global Sourcing and Quality at Pets at Home, Mr Mark Atkinson, said, "We see the Hong Kong regional office as instrumental in driving our ambitious growth plans. In addition to increasing the amount of products we source directly from manufacturers in the region, we view Hong Kong as a platform to further explore Asia to identify new sources of innovative pet products.
"Hong Kong's strategic geographic location within the region and its unique relationship with China make it an ideal base to locate Pets at Home's first Asian office. The Director-General of Investment Promotion, Mr Simon Galpin, welcomed Pets at Home's regional sourcing office in Hong Kong.
