Proposed amendments to works of covered footbridge across Pui To Road in Tuen Mun gazetted

     The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (March 30) on proposed amendments to the works of the covered footbridge across Pui To Road, Tuen Mun, with the aim of facilitating future property development at the West Rail Tuen Mun Station.

     The proposed amendments are as follows:  

(i) construction of additional columns;
(ii) revision of the location and shape of the originally proposed columns;
(iii) deletion of the originally proposed columns;
(iv) conversion of the originally proposed escalator and ramp into two escalators;
(v) conversion of the originally proposed ramps into a lift and staircases; and
(vi) revision of the alignment of the originally proposed footbridge.

     The amendment plan and scheme are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

Public Enquiry Service Centre,

     Any person who wishes to object to the proposed amendments should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 22/F, East Wing, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, Hong Kong, on or before May 29, 2012.
