Fatal traffic accident in Happy Valley

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Happy Valley this afternoon (March 27) in which a 29-year-old male motorcyclist was killed.

     At about 3.45pm, a motorcycle driven by a 29-year-old man was travelling along Stubbs Road downhill. When reaching near No. 34 Stubbs Road, the motorcycle reportedly collided with a taxi driven by a 24-year-old man that was travelling along uphill direction. The motorcyclist fell on the ground and the motorcycle then had a head-on collision with a private car driven by a 76-year-old man.

     Sustaining serious injuries over his body, the motorcyclist was sent to the Ruttonjee Hospital and was later certified dead at 6.32pm.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are under way.
