Appointment of members to Fight Crime Committee

     The Government today (March 23) announced the appointment of Mr Kwok Wing-keung, Mr Jeffrey Lam Kin-fung and Mr Richard Tang Yat-sun as members to the Fight Crime Committee for a term of two years, and the re-appointment of five incumbents, namely Mr Edgar Kwan Chi-ping, Ms Li Fung-ying, Mr Wilfred Ng Sau-kei, Ms Wong Mee-chun and Mr Yeung Yiu-chung for a further term of two years.  These appointments were made by the Chief Secretary for Administration and will take effect from April 1, 2012.

     The Chief Secretary for Administration and Chairman of the Fight Crime Committee expressed his appreciation to the outgoing members, namely Mr Vincent Fang Kang, Mr Ip Kwok-chung and Dr John Tse Wing-ling for their valuable contributions to the work of the Committee.

     The Fight Crime Committee is responsible for drawing up plans to reduce crime, co-ordinating efforts in fighting crime and monitoring the results, and determining ways in which the public can be encouraged to contribute to the fight against crime.
