Police today (March 20) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Yau Ma Tei on March 6 in which a 78-year-old woman was sent to hospital and certified dead on March 15.
At about 2.18pm on that day, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 37-year-old man was travelling along westbound Tak Shing Street towards Tak Hing Street. After making a right turn to Tak Hing Street, the LGV reportedly knocked down the 78-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
The woman sustained serious head and leg injuries and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was certified dead at 1.15pm on March 15.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic Kowloon West are proceeding.
