The Town Planning Board today (March 16) announced amendments to the approved Lung Yeuk Tau and Kwan Tei South Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).
The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of the major portion of the former Burma Lines military site from "Comprehensive Development Area" ("CDA") and "Government, Institution or Community" ("G/IC") to "G/IC(2)" to facilitate development of post-secondary college(s) and/or international school(s). Other amendments include the rezoning of minor portions of the former Burma Lines military site from "CDA" and "G/IC" to "Green Belt" to reflect site conditions. A new set of the Notes for the "G/IC(2)" zone with stipulation of a maximum building height of 30m is also added.
The draft Lung Yeuk Tau and Kwan Tei South OZP No. S/NE-LYT/15, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters in North Point and Sha Tin, the Sha Tin, Tai Po and North District Planning Office, the North District Office and the Fanling District Rural Committee.
Any person may make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board on or before May 16. Representations made to the Town Planning Board will be available for public inspection.
Copies of the draft Lung Yeuk Tau and Kwan Tei South OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed on the Town Planning Board's website at www.info.gov.hk/tpb.
