The Education Bureau today (March 9) announced the re-appointment of Mr Tee Choon-hong as a member of the Quality Education Fund Investment Committee (QEFIC) for another term of two years with effect from March 11, 2012.
Mr Tee is the Managing Director of a bank. He has been serving the Committee since March 2010.
The Quality Education Fund was established in 1998 with capital of $5 billion to fund community initiatives which promote quality education in Hong Kong. QEFIC was set up to formulate policies for and to monitor the investment of the Fund.
Since its establishment, the Fund has supported over 8,000 projects with a total grant amounting to about $3.9 billion.
