The Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (HKCMCL) today (February 29) announced the appointment of a new non-Government director and re-appointment of two serving non-Government directors to its board of directors.
The new director is Mr Alfred Wong Kwok-kuen. He is appointed for a tenure from March 1, 2012 to June 4, 2014. Mr Wong was the Chief Technology Officer and Head of Information Technology Division of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited from April 2004 until he retired in September 2010. His rich experience and knowledge in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector are valuable to the HKCMCL board.
The two re-appointed serving directors are Mr Lee Shing-see and Mr Herman Hu Shao-ming. They are re-appointed for a term from May 1, 2012 to June 4, 2014.
With the new appointment and re-appointments, there are 10 non-Government directors and two Government directors on the board. The new board comprises a good mix of expertise from the business community and the ICT industry.

HKCMCL is one of the three private and wholly owned companies set up by the Government under the Financial Secretary Incorporated to oversee the development, operation and management of the Cyberport Project. The board of directors provides policy and strategic guidance to HKCMCL on its business development, as well as oversight over corporate performance and governance.
