Agenda of tomorrow's LegCo meeting revised

The following is issued on behalf of the Legislative Council Secretariat:

     The agenda of the Legislative Council (LegCo) meeting, scheduled for tomorrow (February 29) at 11am in the Chamber of the LegCo Complex, has been revised. In addition to the original agenda items, the President has given permission for Ms Miriam Lau to move a proposed resolution under the Legislative Council (Powers and Privileges) Ordinance. The motion, states: "That this Council appoints a select committee for the purpose of studying Mr Leung Chun-ying's involvement as a member of the Jury in the West Kowloon Reclamation Concept Plan Competition, and related issues; and that in the performance of its duties the committee be authorised under section 9(2) of the Legislative Council (Powers and Privileges) Ordinance (Cap. 382) to exercise the powers conferred by section 9(1) of that Ordinance. "

     Meanwhile, the President has given permission for the six urgent oral questions to be asked by Mr Albert Chan, Ms Cyd Ho, Mr Cheung Kwok-che, Mr Lee Cheuk-yan, Mr Alan Leong and Mr Paul Tse under Rule 24(4) of the Rules of Procedure to be changed to urgent written questions.  In addition, the President has, under Rule 24(4) of the Rules of Procedure, given permission for Mr Lee Wing-tat and Mr Kam Nai-wai to respectively ask an urgent written question at the meeting.
