The Secretary for Transport and Housing, Ms Eva Cheng, who is also the Chairman of the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA), led a delegation to visit Chongqing today (February 21) to exchange experience in public housing with officials of the municipality.
The delegation will attend a seminar arranged by the municipality's Land Resources and Housing Administrative Bureau tomorrow (February 22). Members of the delegation will share with Chongqing officials Hong Kong's experience in public housing development and operation. They will also be briefed on the overall development of Chongqing and visit some public housing projects there. They will also meet the Vice Mayor of Chongqing, Mr Ling Yueming.
Members of the delegation include the Chairman of the HA Commercial Properties Committee, Dr Andrew Chan; the Chairman of the HA Building Committee, Mr Joseph Fan; the Chairman of the HA Tender Committee, Ms Angela Lee; the Chairman of the HA Finance Committee, Professor Raymond So; the Deputy Director of Housing, Ms Ada Fung; and the Assistant Director of Housing, Mr Tony Liu.
The delegation will return to Hong Kong tomorrow.
