Nomination form handed in for Chief Executive Election

A nomination form for the 2012 Chief Executive Election was submitted by Henry Tang Ying-yen this afternoon (February 20).
The Returning Officer, Mr Justice Jeremy Poon Shiu-chor, is processing the nomination and will determine its validity in accordance with the law.
A nomination form must be subscribed by not less than 150 Election Committee members. Each member can nominate only one candidate.
The nomination period, which started on February 14, will run until 5pm on February 29.
