Wounding case in Cheung Sha Wan reclassified as attempted murder

     Police reclassified a wounding case in Cheung Sha Wan on February 7 as attempted murder last night (February 9).

     About 3.15pm on that day, Police received report that a woman was found injured at a building on 146 Un Chau Street. Police sped to scene and located a 17-year-old woman who sustained cut wounds on her neck and both hands and stab wounds on her abdomen. She was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital for medical treatment.

     Initial enquiries revealed that the victim was attacked by her stepfather with a cutter and a fruit knife inside her residence in the building. A 29-year-old man in suspected connection with the case is being wanted.

     Active investigations by the District Crime Squad of Sham Shui Po are underway.
