Police showcase their work at the four-day Careers Expo (with photos)

     Under the theme "Professional Multifaceted Law Enforcement Agency and Caring Organisation", the Police showcase the multi-faceted nature of their work at the four-day Education and Careers Expo starting today (February 9). Recruitment information is also available at the Police booth.

     There would also be a mini range where officers from the Weapons Training Division demonstrate the use of police equipment. Officers from different Police units would brief visitors on their areas of work and introduce their equipment at different sessions with details as follows:

February 9 (Thursday):
10.30am to 2.30pm - Police Dog Unit
2.30pm to 7pm - Marine Small Boat Division

February 10 (Friday):
10am to 2.30pm - Traffic (Kowloon East)
2.30pm to 7pm - Emergency Unit (Kowloon East)

February 11 (Saturday):
10am to 2.30pm - Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau
2.30pm to 7pm - Airport Security Unit

February 12 (Sunday):
10am to 12.30pm - Narcotics Bureau
12.30pm to 3.30pm - Crime Prevention Bureau
3.30pm to 6pm - Identification Bureau

     Officers from the Police Recruitment Division would process applications for police constable and probationary inspector on site. They would conduct initial screening and arrange for the written test. The Auxiliary Police officers would also be present to handle recruitment-related enquiries and receive applications.

     To tie in with this year's Careers Expo, the Police Recruitment Division has set up an "Application Express" campaign. Those who wish to join the Force could apply at 13/F Arsenal House, Police Headquarters, 1 Arsenal Street, Wan Chai in person on or before February 17. Applicants should bring along proof of their academic qualifications (original and duplicate).
