Police today (February 3) appealed for information on a fatal traffic accident in Tseung Kwan O yesterday (February 2) in which a 64-year-old man died.
At about 8pm yesterday, a private car driven by a 40-year-old man was travelling along the second lane of Wan Po Road towards Tseung Kwan O direction. When approaching near Chiu Shun Road, the private car reportedly knocked down the 64-year-old man who was about to pick up a rubbish bag on the lane. Sustaining serious injuries, the man was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state. He was certified dead in the hospital at 10.35am today.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are underway.
