| The Office of the Licensing Authority (OLA) of the Home Affairs Department today (February 2) launched a territory-wide blitz inspection cum law enforcement operation targeting premises suspected of being illegally used as hostels for pregnant Mainlanders. To assist with the inspections and the collection of evidence, the OLA recruited staff with police experience to assist in the operation. With the help of their criminal investigation skills and experience, it is hoped that the number of inspections as well as the prosecution rate will be further enhanced as a result. |
