Branding conference entitled "Global Ways to Build Global Brands"

     A branding conference entitled "Global Ways to Build Global Brands" will be held on February 8 (Wednesday). International branding experts and guest speakers will provide insight from different perspectives on the branding strategies and keys to success in local, Asian and worldwide markets. A free branding consultation session will be available for interested small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to seek advice from brand consultants on-site.

     Co-organised by the Trade and Industry Department and the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), the conference will be divided into morning and afternoon sessions. In the morning session, the Founder and CEO of the Singapore-based brand consultancy A.S. Louken, Mr Luke Lim, will deliver a keynote speech entitled "The Successful Brand Approach for SMEs". This will be followed by a discussion session with speakers from prominent brands, including the Business Development Manager of Missha (HK) Ltd, Mr Desmond Ng; the Director of the Group Branding Department of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Co Ltd, Mr Alan Chan; and the Co-founder and Chief Designer of Giormani Sofa Furniture, Mr Kelvin Ng.

     In the afternoon session, renowned international branding expert Mr Joseph Baladi will deliver a keynote speech entitled "The Transition of Asian Brands from Good to Great". At the subsequent breakout session, the President and CEO of POSH Office Systems (HK) Ltd and Chairman of the Design Council of Hong Kong, Mr Eric Yim, and the CEO of YGM Trading Ltd and Chair of the Hong Kong Brand Development Council, Ms Shirley Chan, will talk about the essential elements of building a successful brand. A 15-minute free individual branding consultation service will be provided to each successfully registered enterprise at the end of the conference.

     The branding conference will be held from 9am to 5.45pm in Room S421 and Room S423, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It will be conducted in Cantonese and English (with simultaneous English and Cantonese interpretation respectively). Admission is free.
