Murder in Sheung Shui

     Police are investigating a murder case in Sheung Shui this morning (January 30), in which a 57-year-old man was killed.    

     About 7.30am, Police received a report that a 53-year-old man attacked a 57-year-old male security guard with a chopper at a guard post on the third floor of Choi Wah House, Choi Yuen Estate.

     Police sped to the scene and found the security guard, who sustained multiple face and neck injuries, was lying on the ground floor of Choi Wah House. He was later certified dead at scene by ambulancemen.

     The 53-year-old man was arrested for murder. He sustained hand injuries and was sent to North District Hospital for treatment. He will be detained overnight for further enquiries.   

     A post mortem will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.

     The case is classified as Murder and an investigation by District Crime Squad of Tai Po is underway.
