Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 60-year-old man was killed in Sha Tin this (January 19) afternoon.
At about 5.50 pm, a private car driven by the 60-year-old man was travelling along Siu Lek Yuen Road downslope. When approaching near 56 Siu Lek Yuen Road, it reportedly rammed into a taxi that stopped at Siu Lek Yuen Road upslope.
The private car driver sustained no superficial injury and was sent to Prince of Wales Hospital where he was certified dead at 6.48pm.
The case will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South for investigation.
