Police today (January 18) holding-charged a 38-year-old man with one count of murder. The man was suspected to be in connection with a murder case in Chai Wan on August 22, 2001.
At about 1.00am on that day, a 22-year-old man was assaulted by several culprits outside 1046 King's Road. The man sustained serious head injury and was sent to the hospital where he was later certified dead.
A 38-year-old man surrendered to the Police yesterday (January 17) and was arrested in connection with the case.
The man will appear in Eastern Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (January 19).
Investigations by Regional Crime Unit of Hong Kong Island are underway.
