Following is the speech by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Stephen Lam, at Ocean Park 35th Anniversary Celebration Party, at Ocean Park today (January 10):
Allan, friends,
I am absolutely delighted to be here.
Allan, you know, back in 1977, my wife and I - my girlfriend then - made our first visit here. We were amazed by the logo of the seahorse and also the cable car gave us a lot of encouragement. So we have kept coming back here actually and introduced many young people to Ocean Park starting with my two daughters and their school friends. They still keep coming back here. But you must remember one thing. You want to get something free from me? I'll give you something even better. But now I am going to switch that to the Chinese channel.
With all these new initiatives, I am absolutely sure Ocean Park will go from strength to strength and Hong Kong will go from strength from strength. Happy 35th birthday.
