Brand Hong Kong souvenirs go on sale (with photos)
**************************************************

Do you have relatives and friends visiting Hong Kong? Are you wondering what souvenirs you might give them to take home? Why not choose from a range of stylish gifts and products carrying the Brand Hong Kong (BrandHK) logo - Hong Kong's own city brand.

There are more than a dozen BrandHK souvenirs on sale. They include T-shirts, ties, mahogany chopsticks, eco-friendly canvas bags and silk scarves incorporating winning artworks by Hong Kong students. A favourite gift is a trendy umbrella displaying an artist's impression of the Hong Kong skyline under the stars. All BrandHK products carry the BrandHK dragon icon which spearheads the city's identity at home and abroad.

Specially designed and produced for BrandHK, which is managed by the Information Services Department (ISD), the products range in price from a modest $6 for a lapel pin to $310 for a 16GB USB/card reader combo in stylish chrome.

BrandHK is a communications tool developed by the Government to promote Hong Kong as Asia's world city. Featuring a stylised dragon with colourful flowing ribbons, BrandHK represents the city's energy, diversity, lifestyle and heritage. It is widely used by the city's economic and trade offices around the world to project a positive image of Hong Kong.

BrandHK souvenirs make special personal mementos of Hong Kong. They are also ideal gifts for organisations hosting international conferences here to give away to participants. Individuals or groups going on exchange programmes outside Hong Kong may like to display BrandHK gear to advertise the fact they are from Hong Kong. They could also use brand souvenirs as handy "Hong Kong gifts" for their overseas or Mainland counterparts.

BrandHK gifts and products are now available at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council's Design Galleries at Level 1 of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, and at Level 6 of the Departures Hall in Terminal 1 of Hong Kong International Airport. The other two sale outlets are the Fish Marketing Organization Gift Shop at 102, Shek Pai Wan Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong, very near the pier to the floating restaurants, and the Information Services Department's Publications Sales Unit at Room 402, 4/F, Murray Building, Garden Road, Central, Hong Kong.
