| The New Year's Eve Countdown Carnival will be held at Sha Tin Park and Sha Tin Town Hall Plaza cum City Art Square to celebrate the advent of the New Year.
French arts group Cie des Quidams will present "Herbert's Dream", featuring enigmatic fantasy elves. These little white figures, on stilts, will slowly transform into 4-metre-high illuminated giant elves. Accompanied by bewitching music, they will perform a magic ritual that will make a star rise up in the sky and will take the audience on a dream-like journey.
