ENB's response to tariff-related announcements by the two power companies

A spokesman for the Environment Bureau said today (December 16):
"We are examining the latest tariff structure review announced by Hongkong Electric today. We welcome the company's announcement to further reduce the level of tariff increase for the majority of users.
"We regret that CLP has continued to ignore the queries and appeals expressed by the Administration during the vetting of its 2012 tariff review proposal, and subsequently by the Executive Council, the Legislative Council and the wider community. We urge CLP to reduce its tariff increase level."
