Appointments to Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service

     The Government announced today (December 16) that the Chief Executive had appointed Professor Suen Wing-chuen and Mr Wilfred Wong Kam-pui as new members to the Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service for a term of two years with effect from January 1, 2012.  

     The Chief Executive also re-appointed Mr Barry Cheung Chun-yuen, Mrs Miranda Chung Chan Lai-foon, Mr Jeffrey Lam Kin-fung and Mr Pang Yiu-kai as members to the Standing Commission. Mr Cheung's re-appointment will be from April 1, 2012, to December 31, 2013; the term for the other three members will be from January 1, 2012, to December 31, 2013.

     The Government also expressed gratitude for the service of Professor Ho Lok-sang and Mr Andy Lo Kwong-shing who will retire from the Standing Commission at the end of this month following six years of service and valuable contributions.

     The Standing Commission advises the Government on principles and practices governing the pay and conditions of service of non-directorate civilian civil servants.

     The Chairman of the Standing Commission is Mr Nicky Lo Kar-chun. Other serving members are Mr Owen Chan Shui-shing, Miss Elaine Chan Wing-yi and Ms Virginia Choi Wai-kam.
