Christmas is coming to the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS). The BTS invites the public to donate blood. Given the long holiday at Christmas and the falling temperatures, the BTS is expecting blood donation to drop by about 20 per cent during the Christmas and New Year period. The BTS therefore sincerely appeals to the public to give blood and express their warmest care and blessings to patients who need blood for treatment during this holiday season.
In addition, all BTS blood donor centres have been specially decorated for Christmas. Please visit and bring your friends and relatives, and share the festive season spirit by taking some photos for sweet memories and enjoy the special Christmas ambience.
Donors giving blood in all Blood Donor Centres and Mobile Blood Donation Sessions from December 12 to 31 will be presented with an LED Christmas Tree Greeting Card (see photo), while stocks last, to show appreciation for their support.
