Police are investigating a traffic accident in Wong Tai Sin this afternoon (December 7) in which a 74-year-old man died.
About 2.30pm, a double-decker bus driven by a 52-year-old man was travelling along Wan Wah Street towards Tsz Wan Shan Road. The bus reached outside the carpark at Tsz Oi Court and stopped due to traffic situation ahead. When the bus started moving, the 74-year-old man reportedly fell onto the lower deck of the bus when he went downstairs.
The man was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was later certified dead at 3.05pm.
Investigations by Special Investigation Team, Traffic Kowloon East are underway.
