Mainland studies enhance prospects

     The Education Ministry has announced a pilot scheme in which 63 participating higher education institutions will consider admitting Hong Kong students without the need for them to take the Joint Entrance Examination for Universities in the Mainland.

     Godwin Liu is a graduate of civil engineering from Tsinghua University. He gained fresh perspectives on the local culture and way of life by living and studying in the Mainland.

     Michael Law is a graduate of Peking University who now works for the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. He said his experience studying in the capital taught him to think from a macro perspective, which benefits him in his career.
