Public forums organised for public consultation exercise on proposed legislation to regulate the sale of first-hand residential properties

     As part of the public consultation exercise on the proposed legislation to regulate the sale of first-hand residential properties, the Transport and Housing Bureau (THB) has arranged two public forums to collect views from the public on the proposed legislation. Members of the public who are interested to participate in the forums can register with the THB starting tomorrow (December 5).

     Details of the forums are as follows:

Public Forum (1)
Date: December 16, 2011 (Friday)
Time: 7.30pm to 9.30pm
Venue: Lecture Hall, Hong Kong Science Museum, 2 Science Museum Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon

Public Forum (2)
Date: January 4, 2012 (Wednesday)
Time: 7.30pm to 9.30pm
Venue: Lecture Theatre, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong

     Starting at 10am tomorrow, members of the public who are interested to participate in the forums can reserve their seats through the hotline on 2233 9313 (10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, except public holidays) or register online via the THB website. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

     The public consultation exercise on the proposed legislation to regulate the sale of first-hand residential properties will last until January 28. Members of the public are welcome to send in their views on the subject through email, fax, post or the THB's e-forum. Submissions may be published in their original form as part of the consultation report.
