Hong Kong City Hall launches photo collection campaign to celebrate its 50th anniversary
**********************************************************

Hong Kong City Hall, one of the landmarks of Central, will celebrate its Golden Jubilee in 2012. As Hong Kong's first purpose-built cultural complex, the building has been part of many people's cherished memories over the past 50 years: numerous famous artists have showcased their talents, many arts groups have sprouted, massive numbers of marriage vows have been exchanged and countless people have met to participate in various other activities at City Hall.

To celebrate the special occasion, City Hall is launching a Photo Collection Campaign to invite the public to share their precious photos taken at City Hall for piecing together fond memories of this important venue.

The deadline for photo collection is January 29, 2012.

Photos with faces of people must be taken at City Hall gatherings, activities, marriage ceremonies and so on. Participants are requested to send the completed entry form together with photos and short descriptions to the Office of the Hong Kong City Hall Low Block. Photos can also be uploaded to the Hong Kong City Hall 50th Anniversary Photo Collection Campaign Facebook page at www.facebook.com/hkcityhall50 .

The photos may be selected for display on the Hong Kong City Hall 50th Anniversary webpage or in the Commemorative Exhibition.

The entry form can be downloaded from the Hong Kong City Hall 50th Anniversary webpage at www.cityhall.gov.hk/50/en/index.php and is also available at the enquiry counter of the Hong Kong City Hall Low Block.

Members of the public are welcome to join the campaign. For details, please call 2921 2881 or visit the Hong Kong City Hall 50th Anniversary webpage.
