Police appeal for witnesses to fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok

     Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok on November 18 in which a 76-year-old man died.

     At about 7.45pm on that day, a light goods vehicle driven by a 61-year-old man was travelling along Maple Street. When the vehicle turned right onto Sycamore Street, it reportedly knocked down the 76-year-old man who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital where he was certified dead at 11.24pm.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West, are underway.

     Anyone who witnessed the accident or has information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 2773 5258 or 2773 5200.
