A total of 18 nomination forms for the District Councils subsectors of the 2011 Election Committee Subsector Elections were received by the Returning Officer on the first day of the nomination period today (November 18). Nominations will run until November 24.
No nomination forms were received from the Hong Kong and Kowloon District Councils subsector while 18 nomination forms were received from the New Territories District Councils subsector today.
If there is a contested election for these two District Councils subsectors, a poll will be held on December 11.
Particulars of the nominees will be uploaded onto the election website (www.elections.gov.hk/ecss2011/eng/nominat2.html).
