Town Planning Board promulgates new guidelines (TPB PG-No.42)

     The Town Planning Board (TPB) today (November 18) promulgated new Guidelines for Designation of "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Mixed Use" ("OU(MU)") Zone and Application for Development within the "OU(MU)" zone under Section 16 of the Town Planning Ordinance.

     The new Guidelines will set out planning intention and uses permissible in different types of buildings in the "OU(MU)" zone, the main planning criteria for designation of the "OU(MU)" zone, development restrictions and design requirements, as well as the considerations for assessing planning applications for development within the zone.

     The new guidelines (TPB PG-No. 42) are now available at the secretariat of the TPB at 15/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong (tel: 2231 4810 or 2231 4835) and the TPB's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
