Draft So Lo Pun Development Permission Area Plan approved
*********************************************************

The Chief Executive in Council has approved the draft So Lo Pun Development Permission Area (DPA) Plan.

"The approved DPA Plan will provide planning guidance and facilitate development control within the So Lo Pun area during the period required for detailed analysis of land use patterns, study of infrastructural provisions and examination of development options for the formulation of an outline zoning plan (OZP)," a spokesman for the Town Planning Board said today (November 18).

The planning scheme area, covering about 27.68 hectares, is located in the coastal area of Sha Tau Kok East and surrounded by Plover Cove Country Park facing Kat O Hoi.

The general planning intention is to protect the high landscape value of the area, which complements the overall naturalness and landscape beauty of the surrounding Plover Cove Country Park.

The entire area is designated "Unspecified Use", pending detailed analysis and studies to establish the appropriate land uses in the course of preparing an OZP.

The approved So Lo Pun DPA Plan No. DPA/NE-SLP/2 is available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board; the Planning Enquiry Counters in North Point and Sha Tin; the Sha Tin, Tai Po and North District Planning Office; North District Office; and the Sha Tau Kok District Rural Committee.

Copies of the approved DPA Plan are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the plan can be viewed at the Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
