The Returning Officers (except religious subsector) for the 2011 Election Committee Subsector Elections received a total of 60 nomination forms today (November 12). This brings to 1,003 the total number of nomination forms received since nominations for the Election Committee Subsector Elections (except District Council subsectors) opened on November 8. The nomination period will end on November 15.
For each subsector and sub-subsector, a poll will be held on December 11 if there is a contested election for that subsector or sub-subsector.
Two designated bodies of the religious subsector handed in nomination forms today, involving a total of 25 nominees. Four nomination forms have been received since the start of the nomination period, involving a total of 84 nominees. Nominations of members representing this subsector are returned by six designated bodies.
The breakdown of nominations by subsectors is set out in the annex.
