Sha Tin No 3 alarm fire roundup

A No 3 alarm fire broke out at Block 3, Jubilee Garden, Sha Tin this afternoon (November 7). A domestic unit on the 30th floor was severely damaged; another domestic unit on the 31st floor was also damaged.
Two persons were overcome by smoke and were sent to Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment.
The fire broke out at noon. It was upgraded to a No 3 alarm at 12.45pm, and was largely put out at 2.09pm.
Firemen used three jets and mobilised six breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze. About 230 residents were led to a place of safety.
Investigation is continuing.
