A No.3 alarm fire broke out at Wah Kin House, Wah Fu Estate, Pokfulam this morning (November 7). A domestic unit on the fourth floor was severely damaged.
A total of eight persons were injured in the fire. A female sustained burns, two males and four females were overcome by smoke, and one fireman sustained finger injuries. All were sent to Queen Mary Hospital for medical treatment.
The fire broke out at 4.34am. It was upgraded to a No. 3 alarm at 4.56am. The fire was largely put out at 5.52am.
Firemen used two jets and four breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze. About 70 residents were led to a place of safety.
Investigation is continuing.
