Fatal fire in Jordan

     A 64-year-old man died in a No.1 alarm fire at Parkes Street, Jordan last night (November 4).

     The fire broke out on the first floor of a building on 107 Parkes Street, at 9.59pm last night.

     Firemen used three jets and mobilised three breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze. The fire was largely put out at 10.52pm.

     Firemen located the man on the roof of the building. He was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital and was later transferred to Queen Mary Hospital. He was certified dead at 8.53pm.

     Meanwhile, two women, aged 18 and 58 respectively, were injured during the fire. They are being treated at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital, and both are in critical conditions.
