Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Pat Heung in which a 53-year-old male cyclist was killed at noon time today (October 23).
At about 12.20pm, a bicycle ridden by a 53-year-old man was travelling along Lam Kam Road down-slope towards Shek Kong. When approaching Ling Wan Monastery, it reportedly lost control and rammed into a lamppost.
The cyclist who sustained head injury was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.41pm.
The case will be handover to the Special Investigation Team, Traffic New Territories North for investigation.
